Resin and recyled glass jewelry
Katherine has combined crystal clear resin with recycled, post-consumer glass shards to create pendants, bracelets and earrings in a variety of striking colors.
This collection of pieces is created by first forming a mold of a master model. This mold is used as the reservoir for casting the resin and glass. The resin is made of two components. Each must be carefully measured and mixed thoroughly before pouring into the mol. After pouring, the glass shards are randomly dropped into each piece. The resin takes several days to cure. Once removed, they are sanded and buffed to achieve the crystal clear and high polish appearance.

The pendants are strung on invisible line cord and finished with a sterling silver clasp.
The earrings are squares hung on French hook ear wires.
